Port of Ghent

Port of Ghent

The Port of Ghent consisting of the Kluizendok & surrounding area's has approximately 660 hectares of space for industrial & logistical development. The Kluizendok is fitted with 400 hectares of industrial sites. The adjacent industrial site 'De Nest' counts another 160 hectares and the nearby industrial site of 'Rieme-Noord' will in the future account for 100 hectares.

The access roads arrive at the Ghent-Terneuzen seacanal banks. The roads also link to the crossing of the major European motorways: from north to south (E17) and from west to east (E40). Moreover, the railway tracks lead to the European railway network. The Kluizendok is ideal for seagoing vessels and moreover inland navigation can reach the extensive European network of rivers and canals from here. In this way, a vast hinterland can be served, among which the North of France and in the future also Paris (via the future canal in the direction of Paris, the 'Seine-Nord' project).
