The EPC NR energy certificate for non-residential buildings such as office buildings an stores will become mandatory in Flanders from January 2023.
From January 1, 2023, a non-residential building in Flanders is required to have an EPC NR upon sale, new leasehold or the conclusion of a new lease.
Owners of small non-residential buildings can opt either for an EPC kNR (energy certificate small non-residential buildings) or for the EPC NR from 2023 onwards.
